Our free ‘Privacy by Design’ learning module helps companies understand how to integrate privacy principles into their processes, products and services from the outset. Easy, free and effective!
Designed by experts
This project is funded by the Flemish Government, Cybersecurity Vlaanderen and the Flemish Department for Economics, Science and Innovation.
It builds on LINDDUN, the internationally recognized privacy threat modelling method of the KU Leuven University and is brought to you by the University College of Applied Sciences and Arts PXL, specifically designed to empower firms in navigating the complex landscape of data privacy and security.
The goal is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practice, helping firms not only comply with privacy regulations but also turn data protection into a competitive advantage.
Your one shot at taking privacy seriously
Even if it's not your core business, you should take privacy very serious. Once an incident happens, it's hard to recover because your clients will lose trust in you!
The ‘Privacy by Design’ learning module provides valuable insights and practical guidelines to operationalise privacy, not only for big firms but also for smart SMO.
By putting privacy at the heart of you business processes, companies can send a clear message to their customers and partners: we take privacy seriously and are building a safer online space and business for all.
Data disclosure but also...
Privacy isn't only about protecting against data disclosure. It also encompasses what YOU do with the clients' data.
Think again!
Think pseudonymization puts you out of target? Think again! Pseudonymized and even anonymized data can still point to a certain individual.
Data and more
Hackers are not solely interested in the actual data. Sometimes it suffices to know an individual is within a data set, even though the details remain safe and hidden.
LINDDUN threat modeling
is a method to discover privacy threats such as linkability, identifiability, non-repudiation, data disclosure, detecting, unawareness and non-compliance within your application. The Proactive Privacy Method will teach you all about it and ensure you apply privacy by design as is stipulated by GDPR.
Protect your clients' privacy!
That's the thing with privacy: your image will not recover from it. Once your clients lose their trust, it's lost! What can you do? Start today with our free "Proactive Privacy" learning module. Better safe then sorry!
